SVS Imaging is owned and operated by Dr. Fred Gromalak and founded in March 2018. Dr. Fred Gromalak runs the mobile team in Wisconsin, Illinois, Quad Cities, and Kansas City.
Sarah Pender is our lead sonographer covering the Quad Cities territories for SVS Imaging.

Localize the cryptorchid testicle prior to surgery. Can minimize surgical time and surgeon frustration.
GENERAL HEALTH SCREEN
This discounted exam is intended for the clinically healthy patient to rule-out occult disease (abdominal neoplasia, cardiomyopathy in breeds at high risk, etc.) Not intended for patients with abnormalities on blood work or clinical signs.
Full doppler echocardiograms performed on every case, including recheck exams. All echos are read by industry-leading cardiologists from Sonopath. Systemic BP included with every echo.
U/S GUIDED BIOPSY
Fine-needle biopsies are submitted to the lab of your choice, or for more urgent cases telecytology can be used through Sonopath.
Pulmonary or mediastinal pathology, pleural effusion and drainage, biopsy collection for pathology.
Confirm pregnancy, estimate litter size, confirm fetal viability.

Sarah joined SVS Imaging in 2019 after having a growing interest in ultrasonography. Sarah graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in 2002 with an Associate of Applied Science. She also received a Certificate in Practice Management from Purdue University in 2014. She became an SDEP certified sonographer in 2020 after an intense training program and certification process. She has worked in many areas of veterinary medicine including general small animal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, and pathology. Sarah has worked in emergency medicine since 2004, which she has a great passion for and has become more of a weekend hobby than a job. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, fishing, and practicing her archery skills with her compound bow. Sarah lives in the Quad Cities with her 2 daughters, several cats, a Chihuahua Mix, Gus, and a Shih Tzu, Mini.
